WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children established in 1972.  It is administered by the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health, Office of Nutrition Services.
WIC is a federally funded discretionary program.  It provides services to as many eligible individuals as funding allows.  WIC focuses on the link between good nutrition and good health.
